Cody Christ – Varsity Head coach
Cody graduated from ERHS in 2014 and was the goalkeeper for the Varsity team for 3 years. After high school, he attended the University of Minnesota Morris and was the starting goalkeeper for all 4 years and captain for 3 years. During his years at Morris, he was a 3 time all-conference player and voted as MVP by his team in two different seasons. Cody started coaching for ERHS in 2018 as the JV coach and became the varsity assistant coach in 2020. Now as the head coach he will continue to work with the goalkeepers, as well as develop the team as a whole. Outside of working with students, he enjoys camping, biking, and gardening with his wife, as well as playing video games and hanging out with his pets.
Jake Holbrook – Varsity Assistant Coach
I graduated from ERHS in 2013 and have been coaching for 7 years, I started in 2016 as the 9A coach and then moved to JV in 2019 and now am the assistant Varsity coach. My favorite thing about coaching is seeing the kids progression throughout the years and contributing to their success is very rewarding. Being able to coach alongside one of my best friends has been a blast. Coaching in the program I grew up playing in is pretty awesome. On top of coaching, I work as a Service Technician for Northern Fitness Solutions. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two pups, going hiking and camping, fishing and playing sports such as basketball, soccer, hockey and most recently pickleball.
Chad Peterson – JV Head Coach
I graduated from Bloomington Jefferson High School where I played soccer and hockey. I did not play at the collegiate level as I felt the calling to serve my country and enlisted in the US Army in which I served a total of 12 years. During my time in the Army I completed my journalism degree at the University of Minnesota. I discovered my passion for coaching at an early age, and this year will be my 14th year coaching both soccer and hockey in Elk River. I have also previously owned a Total Hockey Off-Ice Training Facility. I have coached at every age level from ages 6 up to high school. I am married to my amazing wife Molly, and we have 3 children - Gabriela, Dylan and Logan and our dog Scout. When I'm not coaching, I run my own media design agency which I have had for 15 years.
