Chad Peterson - Co-Varsity Head coach
I graduated from Bloomington Jefferson High School where I played soccer and hockey. I did not play at the collegiate level as I felt the calling to serve my country and enlisted in the US Army in which I served a total of 12 years. During my time in the Army I completed my journalism degree at the University of Minnesota. I discovered my passion for coaching at an early age, and this year will be my 14th year coaching both soccer and hockey in Elk River. I have also previously owned a Total Hockey Off-Ice Training Facility. I have coached at every age level from ages 6 up to high school. I am married to my amazing wife Molly, and we have 3 children - Gabriela, Dylan and Logan and our dog Scout. When I'm not coaching, I run my own media design agency which I have had for 15 years.
Timothy Loiselle - Co-Varsity Head coach
I graduated from Fridley High School having played football, basketball and golf. While my playing experience in soccer was short lived, my love for the sport has continued to grow! I received my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, and my Master's Degree in Instructional Design and Technology. Currently I am teaching Industrial Technology at VandenBerge Middle School and have been since 2022. My coaching career started when I was 19, and hasn't stopped since! I have coached boys and girls from 4 years old up to seniors in high school and everything in between in the sports of soccer, basketball, football and volleyball. I have coached soccer for nine years now through the recreation and competitive programs at TRSA and Boreal. My wife Tami Jo and I have been married since 2009 and we have three children in the Elk River school system Brynleigh, Declan and Layton. This will be my second year with the soccer program at Elk River and I am excited to take on this challenge with Chad at my side!

Trey Erickson – JV Head Coach
I grew up in Yankton, SD and played soccer competitively for our high school team and the Dakota Alliance Soccer Club. I earned a Bachelor's degree at the University of Sioux Falls where I played football.
I have coached football from the middle school level all the way through the collegiate level, and have been coaching youth soccer for my daughter's teams the past several years. I also began officiating high school soccer several years ago as a way to stay connected to the game.
My wife Hannah and I are both educators and live in Elk River with our four children.

Mario Deobaldia - 9A Head Coach
Minnesota is a new experience for me; however, football (soccer) was a sport I was introduced to as a senior in high school (Azusa High School) as an alternative to track. As a long distance runner (St. John Vianney High School for boys, Los Angeles High School and Azusa High School) off season, the logical choice was track and field. My cross country coach then sent me to soccer, a “running” sport. That sport made no sense, but I did get a lot of pointless running in. I kept the running regimen 15 - 20 miles daily until I was 28. I was lucky enough to marry Denise who has been my “long distance” mate ever since.
Soccer! Yep, Mario wanted to play with his cousins, hence, coaching and officiating. That began in in 1988. Melissa Anne was born in 1989, and by the time she was old enough to follow her brother, who had a soccer ball at is feet during meals, everywhere, to his chagrin, soccer became entrenched as the sport of choice year round.
Certified as Advanced Coach and Referee.
Coached soccer ages 5 to 26: 1989 - 2016, Officiated soccer, U6 - U19: 1989 - 2016

Ah, grandchildren! Silas Mario and Aurelia Eloise! Most beautiful children in the world next to Mario Joseph and Melissa Anne, of course! I was invited to assist with the Elk River High School (ERHS) soccer program by the Varsity
Co-Head Coach, Tim Loiselle. Quite an honor to be entrusted with the development of future Soccer Elks! Thank you Tim. I am not as interested in the game score as I am in the human score. Every child is of utmost importance as they will inherit and be entrusted with furthering what has been shaped by those before them, us! My aim is to engender critical thinking by supporting and trusting their capacity for creativity on the pitch.
